WHAT IS ATHENS RESTAURANT WEEK?
Athens Restaurant Week is a week-long celebration of local cuisine, area restaurant owners, and the uniqueness of Athens establishments that have helped put the Classic City on the culinary map. Restaurant Week provides an opportunity to bring together restaurants to showcase their chosen menu. For food enthusiasts, it provides an opportunity to visit an establishment they may never have visited before and dine on a special prix fixe menu created just for this event.
From March 22 through March 28, 2015, each participating restaurant will offer a specially prepared multiple course menu ranging from $20 to $40 not including tax or gratuity. The special offer may be for one or two people depending on the restaurant. No passes, tickets, or coupons are required to participate.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Action Ministries, a local organization that addresses the challenges of poverty by focusing on hunger relief, housing and education.
